Practical information

: You are welcome to bring your dog or cat on board the ferry to Sweden, and there is no need to purchase a special ticket. The pet may generally stay on the passenger deck accompanied by its owner, as long as it is kept on a leash and does not disturb other passengers. Pets are not allowed in the onboard shops and restaurants. You can read more about the regulations here.

: If you are traveling on foot, you must check in no later than 3 minutes before departure. If you are traveling by car or another mode of transportation, you must check in no later than 15 minutes before departure.

Border control - ID check

There is temporary border control upon entry to both Sweden and Denmark. The Swedish police conduct this in connection with entry to Sweden, and the Danish police do so in connection with entry to Denmark.

Upon entry to Sweden:

To avoid waiting times, have a valid passport, driver's license (issued in a Nordic country), or national ID card ready when traveling and when driving or disembarking the ferry in Sweden. If you have children in the car, their passports must be brought along. The police may also allow entry into Sweden for accompanying children included in their parents' travel documents.

Upon entry to Denmark:

To avoid waiting times, have a valid passport, driver's license (issued in a Nordic country), or national ID card ready when traveling and when driving or disembarking the ferry in Denmark. Children under 18 years old traveling with a parent who has valid identification do not need to present an identity card.

Information about payment

Payment

We encourage, whenever possible, to pay for tickets and purchases on board with a card. It's easy and simple.

Pay with a card

You can pay with a card on board all our ferries. This minimizes the handling of cash and thereby increases security.

We accept the following cards at all payment points: Visa and Mastercard. In addition, for ticket purchases in the harbor and terminal, we also accept the following card: Diners. Dankort is only accepted in the harbor and terminal on the Danish side.

Cash-free from March 1st, 2022

To increase the safety of our customers and employees, we do not accept cash at our sales points in the harbor and the terminal in Helsingborg from March 1st.

Payment with cash

We accept cash in DKK for purchases on board and at our sales points in Helsingør.

Note!

We only accept card payments at our bars and at Waves Restaurant on Aurora. In the bar on Tycho Brahe, you can pay with cash, however, only in DKK.
