General terms and conditions

Purchase and delivery of ferry tickets purchased online

Prices

Our prices are always quoted in Swedish kroner (SEK).

When purchasing a ticket in Denmark or Germany, the price lists and currency in the respective countries apply.

The ticket is only valid for the ferry line, ticket type and vehicle type specified at the time of purchase.

Tickets
Low-price tickets are only valid for the stated journey on the ticket as well as for departures up to one hour before and one hour after the booked departure time. Low-price tickets are valid for up to one month from the original travel date and may be changed online for a fee – SEK 100 for vehicles and SEK 30 for foot passengers – as well as against payment of any price difference right up until the booked departure time. Low-price tickets are valid for up to one month from the original travel date and may be changed at the port or via the Customer Service Centre for a fee – SEK 145 for vehicles and SEK 45 for foot passengers – plus any manual processing fee as well as against payment of any price difference right up until the booked departure time. Low-price tickets are non-refundable, including when changing to another ticket type. The number of Low-price tickets available on the different departures varies, and Low-price tickets are sold according to the first come, first served principle..

Standard-price tickets are only valid for the stated journey on the ticket as well as for departures up to eight hours before and eight hours after the booked departure time. Standard tickets are valid for up to three months from the original travel date and may be changed and/or refunded right up until the booked departure time. Standard tickets may be changed and refunded online free of charge. Standard tickets are valid for up to three months from the original travel date and may be changed and/or refunded at the port or via the Customer Service Centre for a fee – SEK 45 for vehicles and SEK 30 for foot passengers – plus any manual processing fee right up until the booked departure time.
Lost tickets and wrong tickets purchased by the traveler will not be replaced or refunded, and it is the traveler's responsibility to have a valid ticket available for presentation during the entire journey.

Changing tickets
If the ticket type permits changes, a ticket may be changed to another ORESUNDSLINJEN departure within the validity period. If you change your ticket to another ticket type, for example from a Low-price ticket to a Standard ticket, the ticket terms of the original ticket will still apply to the changed ticket.

If the ticket type permits changes, the ticket may be changed from one mode of transport to another by contacting ORESUNDSLINJEN on tel. +46 042 18 60 00. For example, a ticket for a “Car under 6 metres” can be changed to a ticket for a “Vehicle over 6 metres”, a “Walking” ticket can be changed to a ticket for a “Car under 6 metres”, and so on. If the new ticket costs more than the original ticket, you must pay the difference. However, if the new ticket costs less than the original ticket, you will not be reimbursed for the difference.

ORESUNDSLINJEN reserves the right to charge a fee of SEK 45 for changing tickets for vehicles and SEK 30 for changing tickets for foot passengers when manually processed at the ports.

Discount code
Any discount codes must be entered before the booking is finalized to ensure the correct price according to the agreement.

Booking confirmation
Once the booking and payment is complete, a booking confirmation will be sent by email. The booking confirmation contains details about the selected ferry routes, departure times, vehicle type, number of people and booking number. The booking number must be provided on arrival at the port of departure.

Booking number
The booking number can only be used for the booked journey and is then invalid. Therefore, we recommend that you take good care of this number. Please note that if the booking confirmation is printed, the bar code must be clearly visible as it must be scanned if you are travelling via a lane with a ticket machine. It is also possible to enter the booking number which has been sent by email. Vehicles longer than 6 metres are referred to manual check-in.

Check-in
You can easily and simply check in yourself using your online ticket at our ports.

To check in yourself:

  • Scan the bar code on the booking confirmation in the ticket machine
  • On the screen, state how many people are in the vehicle
  • Take the coupon which is printed
  • Drive to the lane indicated on both the screen and the coupon

Payment with Autobizz
If you have an AutoBizz, you must use one of the lanes which has a ticket machine.
The ticket price is automatically deducted from the payment card which is linked to the AutoBizz Agreement
