Our freight ferry, Mercandia IV, that operates during daytime on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays carries many toxicities and only with a limit of passengers.
This means that it is not necessary to wait on the night crossing
In practice, this means that it's not necessary to wait for the dedicated nighttime sailing on our passenger ferry for many hazard classes that require passenger restrictions.
Furthermore, we will now transport dangerous goods of class 2.2, packing group D, with our freight ferry. This includes liquid and compressed gases. A combination of new risk assessment and changed conditions now makes it possible.
As always, dangerous goods should be notified to adr.helsingborg@forseaferries.com or adr.helsingor@forseaferries.com. You can also contact us if you have any other questions concerning when specific toxicities are transferred.
